Pure Technologies Ltd., TSX-V: PUR, announces that it has filed an action for patent infringement against the Pressure Pipe Inspection Company Ltd. of Mississauga, Ontario and the Pressure Pipe Inspection Company (USA) Inc. The action has been filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and relates to patents issued by the United States Patent Office for Pure's P-Wave(R) electromagnetic pipe inspection technology on August 25, 2004 and September 14, 2004.
P-Wave(R) is a non-destructive inspection technique for determining the condition of prestressed concrete pipelines. It is complementary to Pure's patented SoundPrint(R) acoustic monitoring technology. Both products are part of a comprehensive risk assessment and asset management service offered by Pure and used by water agencies in North America and overseas.
